Department of Legal Studies
The department offers advanced degree programs in comparative constitutional law, human rights and international business law. The curriculum combines international and regional intellectual traditions, and offers students professional training and internship opportunities. Outstanding professors introduce students to state-of- the-art legal research, reasoning and writing, enabling them to become competitive, and capable of working in various fi elds of legal practice and research upon successful graduation.
Doctor of Juridical Science
This program is committed to training future legal scholars. It offers candidates an opportunity to pursue advanced doctoral studies that combine independent research with coursework in a variety of legal areas, including comparative constitutional, human rights and international business law.
Career Paths
Graduates of the department pursue successful careers as policymakers, diplomats, ombudsmen, EU consultants, and lawyers in business and human rights law.
