The Department of Medieval Studies offers a multidisciplinary curriculum that integrates medieval historical topics from a number of regional and chronological perspectives.
Doctor of Philosophy in Medieval Studies
The doctoral program is designed for candidates pursuing careers in teaching and research. The program stresses the interconnectedness of various disciplines, emphasizing comparative research into political, social, economic, and religious history, art, archeology and material culture of Late Antiquity, the Middle Ages, and the Early Modern Period.
