Department of Philosophy
This interdisciplinary program combines historical and analytical approaches to major areas of philosophical study. The department also works in close collaboration with the departments of Cognitive Science, and Political Science.
Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy
The main objective of the doctoral program is to train professionals to pursue academic careers as researchers or university teachers. Specializations include history of philosophy, moral and political philosophy, metaphysics and epistemology, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind.
Career Paths
Master’s degree graduates obtain positions in academia as well as in the private and public sectors. Doctoral graduates generally find employment at research institutes and universities.
