* Molecular biology and physiology of horticultural plants, micro propagation, stress physiology
* Genetics and breeding of horticultural plants, molecular and classical techniques, transformation, population genetics
* Mycology of mushrooms
* Bacteriological, mycological and entomological basis of horticultural plant production
* Automation of horticultural plant production: climatic regulation, harvesting, computer sensors, etc.
* Ornamental plants application, propagation biology, indoor and nursery production, etc.
* Medicinal and aromatic plants: active agents, introduction, chemical diversity, production biology, etc.
* Fruit science: cultivar evaluation, floral biology, integrated technologies, postharvest measures, etc.
* Viticulture: quality and yield, terroirs characteristics, physiological bases, economical aspects, etc.
* Vegetable and mushroom growing, in open field and controlled conditions, soil and nutrients, product quality, etc.
