The Hamilton Institute is an applied mathematics research institute and a postgraduate department within NUI, Maynooth. The institute´s core philosophy is to use applications to motivate new mathematics and to apply mathematics to obtain better solutions to real-world problems.
The Hamilton Institute is committed to delivering a world class graduate education programme that leverages national and international partnerships to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. A strong coordinated set of specialist taught modules targeted at research students.

All students initially register for the MSc degree by research and may transfer to the PhD register after one year, subject to satisfactory progress.

Applicants must have an IELTS score of 6, if not they may take our International
Foundation Course. Minimum English language requirement for the IFC is IELTS 4.5 or equivalent.
