The Department advertises positions for the Master´s degree in Medical Genetics, after approval from the relevant authorities of the University. The number of the positions will depend on the specific needs and capacities of the Department of Biological Sciences in collaboration with the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING).

At the time of application each postgraduate candidate student is encouraged to contact all Faculty Members with the aim to identify a research lab for carrying out the research part of his/her studies. Consequently, each new student will have prior knowledge regarding the research lab in which he/she will carry out his/her research part or the program. Pre-requisites for joining the research lab of choice are (a) the consent of the respective Faculty member and (b) the successful completion of courses, identified by the research supervisor. This information is communicated to the candidate at the time of admission to the postgraduate programs.

They also have to attend the seminar series of the Department for at least four semesters. After the completion of the postgraduate courses (excluding the seminars), candidates will undergo a "Comprehensive" examination according to the University general guidelines of postgraduate students.
