Your own musical practice should be integral to your research and you will have the opportunity to include performance in the outcome, although the nature and extent of this will vary as appropriate to the specific area of research. People wishing to focus on composition as the basis for their studies will develop a portfolio of about eight substantial and contrasting works supported by a written analytic and aesthetic commentary. To discuss your ideas further and receive help and advice to
write a research proposal, contact the college directly.
