The university post-graduate study programme of Mechanical engineering is designed to add a significant and qualitative part to the knowledge acquired by the undergraduate study programme. During the study the students are encouraged to develop their ability for world-class doctoral abstract and associative thinking, synthesis of knowledge from a broad field of mechanical engineering and other disciplines, management systems and to handle the most difficult job of any scientific projects. Through all of their competences they will be able to transfer research results into practice and develop innovative procedures for engineering problem solutions.

The post-graduate program is fully compatible with similar study programmes at comparable European universities and is oriented towards development of new methodologies and innovative engineering approaches.

The objective of postgraduate doctoral program of Mechanical engineering is also to integrate graduate students into industrial research and development processes in domestic and foreign environments. The modern study programme encourages creativity and independent work of doctoral students and thus meets the expectations that society has of higher education institutions.

The graduates of the 3rd level study programme of Mechanical engineering will be experts in advanced theoretical and methodological knowledge able to solve the most challenging problems in the design, planning and managing scientific and R&D projects from the broad field of mechanical engineering in various workplaces.
