There are, besides the Research Master in Law Programme (see website tilburguniversity.nl/faculties/law/research/tgls/mphil/), another two possiblities to start PhD research at our Tilburg Graduate Law School:
First option is to find a professor in our Tilburg Law School who is interested in your research. Please visit our experts and their expertise website (see website If a professor is interested in the subject of your research and if he/she decides to (re)write your proposal with you, your proposal can be submitted to e.g. NWO (Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research) for applying for funding. If funding is granted, Tilburg Law School may offer you a salaried contract (fulltime or otherwise).
The second option is to find a professor who only offers to be your supervisor. For our experts and their expertise we refer to our webpage. In that case, you will be an external PhD researcher writing your thesis in your own time. Your supervisor will make arrangements about reserach activities (visits to Tilburg or other activities).
The business programmes of the Faculty of Economics and Business have been accredited by the Association To Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). Tilburg University, therefore, is proud to be distinguished as one of the very select group of European institutions to acquire AACSB accreditation.
