The School provides training and a high level of support to its research students, and the postgraduate community contributes substantially to the University's international reputation for research. Students who have not completed an MA or a research methods training course normally follow the first two terms of the taught MA for generic skills and core training while reading for their PhD thesis.

* Two languages are taught in Hispanic Studies: Spanish and Catalan, and research is carried out in areas concerning language, literature, cinema history and politics of the countries where these languages are spoken

* Research expertise is available on the literature and culture of Latin America
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

A minimum 2:1 degree classification or Master's degree is required.
