The department welcomes applications from students interested in undertaking research towards attainment of a higher degree. To meet this goal the department offers students a high level of expertise and support in a variety of research subjects.
Students will join exciting research programmes such as:
* Extracellular matrix in providing tissue structure and function
* Wound healing biology
* Cell biology of mineralised tissues
* Biomarkers of disease
* Microbiology and biofilm research
* Bioactive and polymeric biomaterials
* Finite element analysis and biomechanical engineering
Students will work in critical mass groupings, providing a highly interactive research environment, with a high level of technical support and research facilities and laboratories that ensure optimal research training.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testSuitable for Graduates in scientific, clinical or engineering subjects. Applicants should normally hold a good Honours degree and be able to show research competence for Masters or Doctoral level entry.
Students whose first language isn't English will be required to pass an IELTS test (minimum 6.5) or equivalent.
Note: International students pursuing part-time programmes of study are not eligible for Tier 4 General Student) visas and must have alternative leave to remain in the UK if they intend to study at the University in person.
