Programme overview
Yasar University School of Music is one of the most comprehensive music schools in the country. Our outstanding array of degree programs, low student faculty ratios, outstanding professional guest artists, abundant performance opportunities, and excellent facilities offer students an ideal environment to become skilled professionals.Traditional musical skills are given importance in the curriculum but they do not remain the only focus. Students are encouraged to take their music beyond their previous ideas to become more personal and imaginative. They are also given the opportunity to integrate different styles drawing upon what they learn during lectures and conferences. The university provides students with specialized recording studios, a concert hall and practice rooms for their convience. A variety of muscial aspects are covered such as opera, film, period music, theory, psychology as well as overall performance etiquette. The Doctorate Diploma in Performance exists for the few highly gifted and experienced performing musicians at the post-master's level who wish to pursue focused studies in their major field leading to specific professional goals. With an emphasis on repertoire, the program is designed to develop both the artistry and professionalism in performers who possess the ability and determination to realize their talent in the contemporary world.

Career opportunities
Graduates can work as performing artists in classical music orchestras such as symphonic, philharmonic and chamber music orchestras or chose to pursue higher academic careers. They also have chance to be performing and recording artists in all other kinds of musical scenes. Students in this program will be well prepared for teaching their own instruments at a college level..
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
