Human Resource and Marketing Management – (Ph.D.)

The Department of Human Resource Management and Marketing's research activity complements the University of Portsmouth's ambitious research strategy programme. As a result, we work with a range of organisations providing research, consultancy, training and facilities that reflect the expertise within the department. We publish scholarly papers, provide research and prepare reports for all sorts of organisations, write books and work with other institutions to enhance our levels of knowledge and performance.

All our researchers have published leading papers in internationally rated journals, have worked extensively with public and private sector organisations in either a consultancy or training capacity or have written leading textbooks in their subject areas.

An important part of our research strategy is to work with students who are studying for postgraduate research degrees. Through our developing research community, students work closely with their supervisory teams, publish papers and generate high quality work. We welcome and encourage applications from aspiring researchers and people who seek to lead and develop knowledge in their subject areas.

The course can be studied full-time over three years or part-time over six years.
