Supervision is available in the following research areas: artificial intelligence; intelligent systems; control systems; modelling computer systems; distribution systems; image analysis; philosophical and psychological issues in computer science; computer modelling of biological systems. At the end of the period of study, the results of the research are embodied in a thesis, which is examined at a viva voce examination.
The course can be studied full-time over three years or part-time over six years.

Requirements
A good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or a master's degree in an appropriate subject. Exceptionally, equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications will be considered.
English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 7.0 or equivalent.
