Our PhD program provides a good background for those who wish to pursue careers in education, research, or in related areas of science, technology, business, and government, where mathematics is important. One of our program’s goals is to give students an overview of the most important areas of mathematics. Another goal of our program is to provide students with the required knowledge about mathematics. In other words, our program enables students to think with strong analytical vision, and to explore and to find solutions to mathematical problems instead of accepting the given results as the solutions for the problems. At our PhD program, students are expected to register for five compulsory and two elective courses. In addition to this, students also have to prepare a thesis.

Requirements
Application Requirements for the Programs of Graduate School of Social Sciences (GSSS)
- To hold university degree (completed undergraduate study) or to be a candidate to graduate (senior) being at the last year of their graduation with bachelor degree. The university diploma has to be recognized by YOK (Higher Education Authority in Turkey).
- To submit graduate examination score of ALES (min.55) or GRE (min. 610 in quantitative section).
- The students who are admitted to the programs must either take a proficiency test (TOEFL min. 213, IELTS min. 6.0) or present proof of adequate knowledge of the English language by submitting an acceptable score in a similar test, recognized by the Yasar University English Preparatory School. The applicants, who fail to have the minimum required score from one of the English Proficiency Examinations stated above, can enroll one-year intensive English Language Preparatory Program at the Yasar University English Preparatory School. This preparatory year is not included in the total number of years of study required for graduation. Students can be directly admitted to their applied main course of study if they pass their English Proficiency Exam successfully.
- If the candidates apply for a program which different than their undergraduate field of study, they have to take a year’s Scientific Preparation Class. Their case will be evaluated by The Graduate Admission Committee.
- Two reference letters.

Funding details
Yasar University offers an annual scholarship of 1500 USD to all full-time international undergraduate students, who register to faculty at the university. The tuition fee is therefore 7500USD for all first year international students. The continuation of this scholarship in each following academic year is dependent on the student achieving a minimum GPA score of 2.50.
Tuition fees also include membership to the university library and sports facilities, an assigned academic advisor, support classes in Turkish, graduate bench fees, as well as access to the campus and IT facilities 24/7. Payment of fees should be made by bank transfer in one or two installments, as outlined in the registration instructions. Fees at Yasar University are subject to review on an annual basis in line with currency fluctuations.
