Learning Outcomes
On completion, participants should have the capacity to reflect on their professional practice analytically and rigorously and understand their professionalism in the context of social, economic and political change. They should be able to interpret research critically, manage research, use research to underpin intellectual leadership and be able to make an original and substantial contribution to knowledge through their own research.
How You Will Be Taught
This is a part-time degree lasting five to six years. Students take five courses involving lectures, seminars and presentations and one component that involves collaborative project work. In the final phase of this programme students submit a 45,000-55,000 word thesis.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testThe Doctorate in Education is aimed primarily at mid-career and senior professionals in education, training and development. It provides an opportunity for part-time doctoral-level study in the School of Education. It has a professional focus and is comparable with the PhD in terms of scale and rigour.
