Architecture – (Ph.D.)

The programme has a plural character and enables the graduate to build up his/her individual profile. It represents the top theoretical level of education for an architect, and it also enables the graduate to become a knowledgeable research worker oriented to the theory, philosophy and history of architectural research. The programme encourages individual creative work on theoretical, research and scientific projects, analysis of intricate issues within the field, and identification of their rules. The programme enables the graduate to search for and work out new areas of knowledge within the field, as well as to find specific, original ways of scientific research. The graduate will be prepared for individual creative research activity. He/she will be able to work in architecture as a field of science, in educational institutions, and in architectural practice. The graduate may work in research and education fields at the top level, he/she may work on research concepts in architectural studios, engage in publishing professional periodicals, and perform managerial work in architectural, building construction, heritage protection and cultural affairs in general.
