Graduate of the programme Environmental Engineering solves environmental problems using the principles and knowledge of chemistry, biology and general engineering. He deals with water and air pollution control, recycling, waste disposal, and public health issues. Conducts hazardous-waste management studies where he evaluates potential risks. Major areas of interest and study in the program include development of innovative biological, chemical, and physical treatment processes to remove and degrade pollutants from water and air and on the development and evaluation of techniques for revitalisation of polluted sites.
