The aim of the Doctoral course of study is to prepare highly qualified experts who are able to develop their branch of study by searching for new, original solutions, methods, and procedures, as well as to apply the most demanding generally known methods.
The typical employment of the graduates is in the area of research and development, and at universities. Also, the graduates often operate on the international level, e.g. membership in international teams and defending results in front of the international community.

Admission to studies in doctoral degree programmes is conditioned upon the completion of the master degree programme. In the framework of the admission procedure the applicant’s individual results from his/her previous studies are assessed, the supervisor’s statement is presented and a certificate (e.g. TOEFL or IELTS) is submitted proving the B1 level of English language knowledge in accordance with CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Within the chosen field of study the applicant for the doctoral degree programme decides for a general topic, contacts the competent supervisor and makes a request for his/her opinion.
