The History Section provides training and a high level of support in a wide range of historical fields. Its postgraduate community contributes vitally to the research culture of the School and to the University's international reputation for research.
The Section offers a breadth of chronological, geographical and historiographic expertise, and the research interests of the staff range from the Normans to Communist art, from Fascism to early-modern crime and witchcraft, from emigration to the history of medicine, and from Wales to India and China.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

Applicants should normally hold a first degree with first or upper second class Honours or equivalent in an appropriate subject field.
Note: International students pursuing part-time programmes of study are not eligible for Tier 4 General Student) visas and must have alternative leave to remain in the UK if they intend to study at the University in person.
