The School of Nursing & Midwifery offers a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment. Research students participate in a School Induction event as well as a Graduate School Induction to Kings College London. Research students are allocated two supervisors and meet regularly for supervision and review of progress. Progress is also reviewed formally by the Postgraduate Research Committee at set points in the academic year. Student representatives co-ordinate a postgraduate student support network and play an important role in communicating students feedback about their learning experiences and the support infrastructure to inform ongoing programme development. Research students have a newly refurbished study suite in the James Clerk Maxwell Building and access to Graduate Lounges on the different campuses.
