The programme enables individual specialisation in the urban aspects of an architect's activities. It represents the top theoretical training of an architect within the theory and philosophy of urban planning research. The training is oriented to scientific research methods in the field of Architecture and Urban Planning. The training paces special attention on settlement and zonal urban dimensions with interdisciplinary aspects of research. The graduate can work individually and creatively, undertake new specific areas of knowledge in this field, and search for new original solutions for intricate tasks in research, development and projecting areas. The graduate is prepared to work in urban planning research, in related education, in projecting practice, in managing land use and landscape tasks. The interdisciplinary aspect of his/her training prepares the graduate for cooperation on specific research tasks in neighbouring fields as well.
