Overview
Key facts:
- Students benefit from faculty research in literature, cultural studies, film, linguistics and second language acquisition. Several challenging and varied graduate seminars are offered throughout the academic year.
- Central to any research is a well-stocked library. Not only does the Ohio State University enjoy an in-depth collection on its grounds, but additional connections via OhioLink and an on-line world-wide catalog facilitate research on any number of topics.
- The Department of French provides students admitted to its graduate programs with financial support in the form of a Graduate Teaching Associateship, a Graduate Research Associateship or a University Fellowship, all of which include a full tuition and fee waiver and a monthly stipend. Graduate Teaching Associates teach one introductory-level language course per semester and benefit from an extensive training and mentoring system. Experienced GTAs may choose to work in the Individualized Instruction program as GTA supervisors.
