The high quality of staff in our department has helped create a stimulating and supportive research environment for doctoral students. We have a growing ESRC recognised doctoral training programme, with over 40 research students conducting research across a variety of topics with internationally renowned staff. In the 2008 RAE the department achieved an excellent resultand was ranked 5th in thecountry and assessed as 'world leading', reflecting a very significant upwards movement when comparedto the2001 RAE.

The DBA is equivalent to a PhD, with some distinct differences. Unlike a PhD which addresses a purely academic question, the research you will engage in will deal with high level strategic business issues and problems. Your research will be conducted from within the organisation of your choice and applied there.
