Worldwide climate change signals an urgent need for radical low carbon policies and more efficient energy technologies. Increased renewable energy production must be fed into smarter grids. Cities and buildings need to become energy-efficient. What’s more, this move away from carbon-based systems will be driven by fresh thinking and innovative minds.
If you have a ‘can do attitude’ to solving energy challenges, our Master School will transform your talent into new products, services and business ventures. Like-minded individuals are already securing a future career – and creating new-generation energy ventures as well.
So here is why you should join the KIC InnoEnergy Master School.

After successfully completing the programme, you’ll receive a double degree – one from each university attended – as well as the KIC-EIT certificate, demonstrating that you have completed an excellent education fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. You can find out more about this on each programme’s Thesis Project and Degree page.
Study entrepreneurship at top business schools
Entrepreneurship training for some programmes is held at ESADE in Barcelona or Grenoble Ecole de Management. Both are considered to be among the best in Europe. Moreover, the Financial Times has ranked ESADE as one of the world’s top five business schools.
Scholarship support for committed students
Our programmes require commitment, hard work and considerable drive. So it’s only natural that we award scholarships to the best applicants. The maximum allowance is €750/month for up to two years. Read more about scholarships here.
Excellent career opportunities
KIC InnoEnergy master graduates are well equipped to work with different stakeholders in the energy field: industry, network operators, regulators, developers or government. Research, design, operational and management careers are also well within reach. With built-in entrepreneurial training, starting your own company is also a viable option. Find out about what some of our graduates are doing here.
Employment offer for all graduates
KIC InnoEnergy wants to support its graduates in finding their first employment in Europe. For that reason we have signed an agreement with leading recruitment agency Adecco. They will assist and guide graduates, helping them to find job opportunities within the first six months after graduation, matching their qualifications and interests. Read more here.
Gain international experience by studying in two countries
Our strong mobility concept means that you spend your first year at one university and your second at another in a new country. Some programmes also arrange summer schools or internships between years one and two. You can find out more details about our mobility programme on the “Programme content” pages for each programme.
Network extends beyond education
As part of the KIC InnoEnergy community, you can exchange ideas with like-minded counterparts from within our programmes as well as in start-ups, established energy companies and research. After graduation, these networks act as the perfect springboard for getting the best possible start to your career.
After completing one of our master programmes, you receive two diplomas; one from each of two prestigious partner universities. You will also receive certification of having studied an EIT-labelled programme the only master programmes in sustainable energy worldwide with this qualification.
Together with the ISIC Association and British Council IELTS, StudyPortals offers you the chance to receive up to £10000 to expand your horizon and study abroad. We want to ultimately encourage you to study abroad in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.
