BA School of Business and Finance is one of the leading, self financing business schools in Latvia. It was founded in 1992 as Banking College under the Bank of Latvia and in 1997 it was accredited as Higher Educational Institution, today known as BA School of Business and Finance offering studies to 1622 students. In 2012 BA School of Business and Finance is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

BA School of Business and Finance offers high quality studies and research in business and finance. Our international cooperation, professional and creative staff, working closely with the business world, and achievements of our students and graduates earn our excellent reputation.

Research

Research carried out by the teaching staff and the integration of the research into the study process plays an important role at SBF. The professional development and competence of the teaching staff is the main priority and it is facilitated. The Research Centre was founded on 24 May 2007 by School of Business and Finance.

Housing services

BA SBF provides the housing at BA SBFStudent Hostel which is located at the same building where the classes are held. The prices range from 70 EUR to 100 EUR per month (depending on the room).

Library services

The library consists of two units – the borrower department and the reading– room. The library ensures the study process and scientific work providing students, academic staff and other customers with library, bibliographic, informative and copying services. The library stock has been created taking into consideration the specialization of BA and is being supplemented.

Campus life

SBF is located 15 minutes from the Old Town, the heart of Riga, which ensures easy access and convenient infrastructure. Riga is a vivid ad historically rich city wth many contemporary activities and events fro stduents throughout the year.

Sports facilities

After their studying hours, students of the BA School of Business and Finance have sports activities in a gym. The time in the gym is devoted to basketball and volleyball as well as to football (including the training of the school football team) and tennis.

Student clubs

The Student Council of the BA School of Business and Finance (BASP) is a self-government elected by the students of the BA School of Business and Finance which represents students in the school’s decision-making authorities, conducts a dialogue between students and the school’s administration and organizes students’ life outside studies.

BASP consists of the students of the BA School of Business and Finance who are energetic, tireless, enthusiastic, brilliant in their own way, full of ideas and, of course, self-confident. YOU can join them any time!
