Education
The School of Architecture and Planning has an enthusiastic team of academic staff with many years of teaching experience at degree level and post-graduate level. The School aims to promote a creative studio culture and encourages students to interact with each other, with members of staff, and with practising professionals both locally and nationally. In addition, Kent is very close to continental Europe and has excellent links with schools of architecture in Lille, Rome, Istanbul and in the US and can facilitate exchange opportunities.
Research
Research at the Kent School of Architecture and Planning is growing fast in scope and reputation. Since our inception in 2005 we have established exciting new directions in both the history and theory of architecture and in sustainable design. The School is committed to nurturing and developing young scholars, with eight new research appointments added to our team since 2010.

Student services
First of all, thank you for considering Kent School of Architecture for your studies. Coming to study in a new university is very exciting; however, coming to study in a new country can seem a little daunting. Don't worry, we are here to help you find all the information that you will need in order to make that all important decision!
Housing services
Here at Kent we have a variety of different accomodation styles to suit each individual. There is accommodation within our five colleges, self-catered accommodation in Park Wood student village or one of our courts on central campus.
Campus life
The campus is self-contained and includes student accommodation, a library, sports centre, theatre, music performance centre, places to socialise and eat, cinema, shops (including a bookshop), medical centre, public access computer rooms, launderettes and bus stops. We find that our students very much enjoy the campus life and like how everything is so easily accessible with Canterbury only a short bus ride/walk away.

CREAte, The Centre for Research in European Architecture, came into existence in 2007 to establish the foundation for KSA’s Research and to produce and disseminate excellence in architectural research across wide range of subjects.CASE, the Centre for Architecture and Sustainable Environment, the most recent of our Centres, promotes research in the field of sustainable design.
KBS is a member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS). KBS is a member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EMFD). The Kent MBA programme is accredited by the Association of MBAs, the international impartial authority on postgraduate business education.
