Our dynamic interdisciplinary culture is platformed through the Sound–Image–Space Research Centre (SISRC) and further developed through a rich programme of research seminars and symposia. This center takes ‘sound’ ‘image’ and ‘space’ in the widest senses of the terms, space may be physical, psychic, conceptual or pictorial, an image can be 2d, 3d or of thought and sound, phenomenological or environmental.
Career
School of Music and Fine Art programmes combine academic rigour, personal development, life skills and career opportunities. Our students prepare for the work place through formal placements, professional preparation or assignments that replicate real life career challenges.
According to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the creative industries provide around two million jobs in the UK, in the creative sector itself and in creative roles in other sectors. Encouragingly, employment in the sector has grown at double the rate of the economy as a whole.
